Scheana Marie Didnt Know Her Vanderpump Rules Co-star Was An Addict

Lala Kent has been open about the effect of her father’s passing has had on her and one of those included an increasing alcohol dependency. Now that Kent has made the choice of being sober, Scheana Marie is chiming in on her ‘Vanderpump Rules’ co-star’s past actions.

Scheana said that she had no idea that Lala was an addict at the time of filming last year and feels that the alcohol may have been a major part of some of the confrontations she’s had.

“I’m happy that she’s getting the help she feels she needs. She seems to be in a good place, but I never thought she was an alcoholic. In Mexico, she had like a full-on panic/anxiety attack [on the bus]. I think that was triggered by alcohol because she hadn’t been drinking, and then she did a total 180. I think that was a moment where she kind of realized, ‘Okay, this is a problem.’ Because it wasn’t just sipping a little wine with the girls; it was a full panic attack.”

She went on to tell TooFab that she and the group wanted to be aware of Lala’s needs after suffering such a great loss. As seen on ‘Vanderpump Rules,’ they wanted to be there every step of the way which is why they were so lenient went it came to her outbursts.

“But you know, I haven’t lost a parent. I’ve lost several family members, so I’ve dealt with a lot of loss in my life, but I haven’t lost a parent. I think everyone grieves in different ways. You can say she didn’t handle herself professionally, but I don’t know how I would’ve acted in that situation.”

She went on to say that the reason LVP didn’t fire the model when she behaved badly was that she was sensitive to her situation. Lisa lost her brother around the same time Lala lost her father.
